Adhesive Capsulitis

Adhesive Capsulitis, more commonly known as frozen shoulder, is characterized by pain and stiffness in your shoulder joint. It can start out as mild discomfort, but over a period of one to three years, become increasingly more painful and debilitating.

It is most commonly found in patients who are recovering from conditions that have limited the use of your arm such as mastectomy or stroke.

Our physical therapists can help you heal by introducing a series of range-of-motion exercises accompanied by manual therapy. You will also be prescribed a home exercise program to encourage your recovery.
